Immigration Policies for International Students

All international students must have an Approval Letter from the Malaysian Immigration Department before entering Malaysia to study. This regulation is similar to that practiced in the US, UK and Australia where international students must apply for a student visa from their home country before travelling to the country of their institution.

If you have applied to join ELS Language Centres here in Malaysia, please ensure that you receive (via email or through our online application system) a copy of the Approval Letter from the Malaysian Immigration Department before arriving in Malaysia.

In order to apply for a student visa, you will need to apply to join ELS for at least 1 Semester (16 weeks).
